Porosity measurement in 3D printed metal parts

For laser powder bed fusion samples we compare Archimedes density with micro-CT. The two methods disagree by about 0.5% porosity. Is that typical? Which one do you trust more for publication?

Is the CT voxel size small enough to resolve the smallest pores? Unresolved microporosity would explain the gap.

In industry we treat CT as the reference for internal defects, Archimedes as the quick check. A 0.5% difference is not unusual for small samples.
