Czy ktoś z Was zbiera informację zwrotną inaczej, np. w połowie semestru? Jak zachęcacie studentów, żeby odpowiadali rzetelnie?Interakcje (11)
@mateusz_czarnecki14dTeaching my first full course as a postdoc – how do you plan the semester?Next semester I take over a 15-week Introduction to Neuroscience course for second-year students: one lecture and one lab group per week. So far I have only taught single guest lectures. How do you plan a whole semester? Do you write all slides before the term starts, or week by week? And how much time per teaching hour do you realistically budget for preparation in the first year?Interakcje (11)
@natalia_mazur10dActive learning in a lecture with 150 students – what works for you?I teach the astronomy lecture for first-year physics: around 150 students in a large hall. Attendance drops after week four and I suspect pure slides are part of the problem. Has anyone used short polls, peer instruction or think-pair-share at that scale? I would love concrete examples of what worked and what took too much time.Interakcje (10)
Interakcje (9)
@tomek_zielinski12dStudents using ChatGPT in programming assignments – what policy actually works? In my machine learning lab this year a large share of submitted notebooks were clearly written with an AI assistant: correct, clean code that the authors could not explain during the defence. Banning it seems unenforceable. Has anyone moved to a policy that allows AI tools but still checks understanding? I am thinking of short oral defences and asking students to submit the prompts they used.Interakcje (9)
@pawel_michalski8dSharing teaching materials openly – which licence and where?I have a full set of slides and problem sets for an undergraduate quantum chemistry course and would like to share them openly so other lecturers can reuse them. Which licence do you use for teaching materials (CC BY? CC BY-SA?), and where do you publish them so people actually find them? Any issues with figures taken from textbooks?Interakcje (4)
Interakcje (4)
